MEET DR. YOONAS
“I help driven individuals with ADHD move from inconsistency to clarity, sustained focus, and high-level performance.
My work is grounded in helping people execute reliably in the areas that matter most. The goal is not just reaching potential—but maintaining it, without burnout.”
I’m a Stanford-trained, board-certified psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience in adult psychiatry. My work focuses on Adult ADHD, particularly in high-functioning individuals where symptoms are often subtle but impactful. In many cases, ADHD does not exist in isolation. I frequently work with overlapping challenges such as anxiety, mood symptoms, sleep disruption, and burnout—especially when they affect focus, consistency, and day-to-day functioning.
Many of the patients I work with are successful on paper, but struggle with consistency, follow-through, and mental overload in their day-to-day lives. ADHD in adults rarely looks like the textbook version, and part of my work is helping people better understand how it actually shows up for them.
My approach to evaluation and treatment is practical and individualized. I combine evidence-based medication management with focused psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based strategies, depending on what’s most useful for each individual.
I completed my undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley and attended medical school at the University of Maryland, followed by residency training at Stanford, where I served as Chief Resident. In 2015, I co-founded Elite Focus Clinic, a nationally recognized center specializing in Adult ADHD. The practice was acquired in 2021, after which I returned to private practice to continue focusing on adult ADHD care.
I’m based in Los Altos, California, and work with adults throughout the Bay Area. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, following sports (a longtime Cal fan), and international travel—especially exploring new cities. The goal, both in and outside the office, is to function with clarity, consistency, and sustainability in the areas that matter most.
